Impact-Damping Foam for Sports Flooring

The job of the foam layer in a sports floor is to absorb impact energy, and the property that decides it is density. A dense layer spreads a concentrated impact across a wide area, where a low-density layer bottoms out under the same blow. Foam is a component beneath the wear surface, not the floor itself.

Different zones, different loads

Writing one floor specification for an entire hall is usually the wrong answer. A free-weight area takes concentrated point impact; a functional training area takes repeated footfall; a matted area absorbs falls. Those are different requirements.

A soft, low-density layer feels good on the first day and takes a permanent set under repeated impact. That is why the choice follows density rather than softness.

Where our responsibility ends

YAYLA supplies the foam component of a floor system; it does not manufacture, install or certify sports flooring. Where a safety specification has to be met, the build must be designed and verified by someone qualified to do it. A material supplier cannot undertake that from a web page.
