Foam Supply for Furniture and Upholstery Production
Foam does two separate jobs in furniture production: filling seat and back frames, and adding body and softness under the cover fabric. Rebonded foam holds its shape in continuously used seating because of its density, while roll foam is thin enough to laminate directly to upholstery fabric.
Filling and lamination
The seat is the hardest-worked part of a piece of furniture. What decides the material there is not softness but the ability to hold shape under repeated load; a low-density filling is comfortable for the first months and looks collapsed after.
Lamination is a different job entirely. Thin roll foam bonded behind upholstery fabric gives it body and a firmer handle, and evens out seam lines. What matters there is not load-bearing but being thin and consistent in thickness.
