Foam, Spring and Felt Supply for Mattress Manufacturing
Mattress manufacturing is the one application in which all four of YAYLA's products work together. The pocket spring unit forms the load-bearing core; felt sits between spring and foam as a load-spreading separator; rebonded foam provides the firm support layer; and roll foam serves the comfort and lamination layers nearer the surface.
What each layer is for
A mattress is the result of a sequence of layers, not of one material. From the bottom up: the spring unit carries the load, felt stops the coils working their way into the foam, rebonded foam forms the firm base that delays the comfort layers collapsing, and the soft layers at the top provide the surface feel.
Knowing that order is what lets you predict the consequence of a substitution. Remove the felt layer and coil ends eventually push through the foam; thin the rebond layer and the mattress feels softer on day one but sags sooner.
What to specify when ordering
Two quotations are only comparable if the same variables were given. For the spring unit: dimensions, coil count, height and packing form. For foam: density grade, thickness, width, length, and whether it is block or cut. For felt and roll foam: thickness, roll or sheet, and width.
YAYLA supplies components and does not manufacture finished mattresses. Rebonded foam and pocket springs are made in our own plant; felt and roll foam are sourced and supplied. That split is stated on every product page.
